Diodes has added standard shift register and decoder logic ics to its 74HC, 74HCT, 74AHC and 74AHCT cmos logic families.

Based on the company's updated 5V cmos process, the 595, 594 and 138 logic functions are said to offer improvements over industry standard alternatives in terms of power to performance ratio and ESD protection, making them suitable for smart domestic appliances, data communication, and residential and industrial control applications.

The 8bit shift register with 8bit storage register (with and without tri-state outputs) and three to eight line decoder are offered as direct drop in replacements for industry standard logic devices, and are available in a choice of SO-16 and TSSOP-16 packages.
